Chief Executive Officer, is the principal and driving force behind WestStone Communities and provides the overall vision and direction of the company and related entities. Mr. Regehr is a life-long entrepreneur with a successful track record in a variety of industries spanning both Canada and the United States. He has expertise in a wide range of markets, he began his career in the agriculture business, and subsequently went on to acquire a wide range of business enterprises, including real estate. Through applying management methodologies to each of his business ventures, Mr. Regehr is able to attract industry experts who focus on providing the best service, earning the trust and support of employees, suppliers, and customers by operating with the highest ethical standards and integrity.
Utilizing vision and disciplined market research Mr. Regehr employs real estate experts and residential planners, identifies market research, housing market dynamics, demographic and population trends, and macro economic factors. Prior to establishing operations in Arizona Mr. Regehr founded WestStone Properties Ltd. in Vancouver, Canada. He combined his business strategies to residential, commercial and industrial developments within the Western Canada region.
Through expansion of geographic representation these core competencies have been further leveraged. Mr. Regehr continued to look for additional development opportunities by studying markets in the United States, eventually focusing on Phoenix metropolitan area as a prime development location because of its growing population and emerging cultural diversity. Phoenix is currently the fifth largest city in the United States. Mr. Regehr’s focus creating innovation home solutions fulfill the needs of a variety of lifestyles for urban professionals of diverse backgrounds.

Chief Financial Officer, joined WestStone to provide strategic planning and offer a broad range of experience as a CPA and financial advisor. With over 30 years experience in the Phoenix Metropolitan area, Mr. May offers a comprehensive scope of financial services in accounting, cost management, preparation of potential new development pro-formas, tax planning, tax compliance, and strategic business planning. In addition, he is the key liaison for WestStone with outside legal counsel, independent CPA firms and all individual investors and individual lenders.
Prior to joining WestStone, in 1990 Mr. May formed J.B. May & Associates. As an Independent Financial Consultant, Mr. May has counseled various professionals, retirees, executives and entrepreneurial business owners in designing financial and estate plans to maximize wealth accumulation, wealth preservation and wealth distribution. Mr. May would assist business owners in implementing qualified or non-qualified retirement plans for maximum current deductions and tax deferred growth.
Mr. May began his career working at Arthur Andersen & Co., one of the leading international public accounting firms, in the Phoenix Office. While he was with Arthur Andersen & Co. he was selected to participate on a firm wide task force to study and review internal procedures in preparing individual income tax returns. He also contributed in drafting new procedures, utilized by all U.S. offices of the firm.
John May is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a current member of the ASCPA and the Central Arizona Estate Planning Council (“CAEPC”.) He earned a Masters of Accounting and Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Rice University, Houston, Texas. In addition, he holds multiple professional licenses including Insurance – Life, Health and Disability, as well as Securities. He has been active with several non-profit organizations in Phoenix donating his time as a volunteer as well as a Board member.
